Is Glock Overrated - Let's have a little fun by hitting some guns that deserve it. Let's face it: some popular guns aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Some of the fans and dishes got out of hand and had to be installed shortly.

The grip angle isn't great, which is understandable since custom Glock frames (like the Polymer 80 and others) all use an 18-degree grip angle instead of the Glock's 22-degree rake on the 1911. Legions of Tactical Kyles won't shut up about it, and frankly, they're overpriced for what you get in terms of features.

Do they work? You bet they will. Thousands of hats, genocide, etc. are not wrong. They are the best performing guns in terms of reliability and performance, but they are not, in the end. Other pistols run reliably and are less expensive or give you more and better features for the same price of money (or a little more).

The Sig P320 is a beef-witted link. You can use the slider to anchor the boat. One of the main reasons why the military chooses them is that the Sig Sauer charges less money than the Glock. (About $100 million less.) The reason is stinky, and frankly, the so-called "compact" models are only designed to be smaller than a fighter jet.
It hurts because I love them, but real 1911 pistols should be thrown in here too. It is the era of 1911. Carrying capacity is poor for the size and price. You have to spend a lot of money to get a good one, and how come no one has made a decent magazine other than Wilson Combat? While the 1911 is one of the most popular handguns, it is far from the best.
The .45 ACP is definitely not what people say it is. 9mm is just as efficient and cheap to boot.
OK, ergonomics are great, but so what? Lifting the 3.5-lb Government frame is a chore. I love me till the day I die, but I won't take it anymore because of this. Agreed, maybe I'll buy a heavy bass and start lifting because I miss him but still. It's a big platform; There's a reason why many competitive shooters and the general public still carry them around. But let's not pretend there are any real limits.

10mm fans seem to think that their gun is the ol' death and destruction, but the truth is that they are not. Handloads can put the 10mm in the lower end of the .41 Magnum range but so what? Hardly anyone transports themselves these days.
If you really want to stop someone with a shot? Get a 12-gauge and load it with slugs. In the middle group, more than 1 oz of lead is a large persuasion. The 10mm is a good all-rounder, and you can certainly do a lot with it, but feel like this stuff is old.
I know what you are thinking. If the .44 Magnum is definitely not the most powerful handgun in the world, and this range can clear the head out of your wallet, you just have to ask yourself one question.
Last but not least is the Desert Eagle. It is not the smallest because it is almost too big to use. It's also more expensive than most games are worth. They are known for more jams than Smuckers.

Of course, some people get them because they want a generator that can protect against four-legged threats, and this is one of the few that can. Quite nice on the front, but most people get them too much like a toy. This is just one person's silly idea, but there are tons of toys that are less expensive and more fun (Henry Golden Boy guns, for example) to boot.

They come in all kinds of calibers. Glock holsters are easy to find at many price points. The polymer housing makes the gun lighter than the competition (although some call it a "Tupperware gun"). Glocks are also very capable.
But are they dynamic? Do you shoot Golic and say I won't switch to another brand? Let's take a look at how you should be aware of the hype surrounding Glock products.
Glock knows that every model it releases will get rave reviews and press coverage, so does that mean it can continue to produce more models that really push the envelope, or does it?

One good thing about this gun that deserves the hype is its "point capability". This means that the gun can effectively be an extension of your arm for better hand-eye coordination and better accuracy. The Glock gets the occasional complaint that some shooters aren't used to the flash pull. This is usually a training problem rather than a bad gun, but an inexperienced user will experience a period early in the barrel if he has not been properly trained in the operation of the Glock's trigger.
Glocks also have no external safety. If you're used to a pistol that has this system, the Glock has a learning curve.
Another difference, and again it depends on the user, is the grip angle which can be a problem for some and cause more shots. Gary Marbutt of the Montana Shooting Sports Association explained this when comparing Glocks to 1911s.
"The grip angle of the 1911 is more square than the slide (about 18 degrees out square), the Glock grip angle is sharper (about 22 degrees out square). The grip angle is not better than others, but some people's hand and wrist body. Only one Works better with an angle and something else. It works better not against anything. It's a physically natural grip angle for you.

For some gun collectors, Glock is just ugly, boxy and big. They look like some cheap toys. As I've said before, they don't encourage gun purists to go out and buy Glocks in numbers to collect. For some, it is not a beautiful gun, especially if you want to follow James Bond.
Some people just prefer an all-metal gun with a polymer frame and hammer gun versus a shotgun.
Others have emotional complaints because the caregiver can create friction. You can cut it out or cut it a little deeper yourself with a dermabrasion tool. And there are many aftermarket companies that can solve this problem for you.
Many models will mean a lack of efficiency and performance when shooting out of the box, because if you run into problems, some shooters complain about less than good service for Glock customers. You may need a replacement, for example, return it to the manufacturer, and are not satisfied with their customer relations.

And today there is high competition. Glock should beat Colt, S&W, Ruger, Kimber, SIG Sauer, Remington, and Taurus, among others. These manufacturers have caught on to Glocks over the years. You can tell these are Glock copies, but if you're willing to pay more than the Glock costs, you can get a better performing pistol.
