SIG's P320 was a hit. Not just with the military's adoption of the M17 and M18 series, but with hundreds of law enforcement agencies and tens of thousands of concealed carriers. SIG has thrown its full weight behind the rifle and allowed customers like me to pick and choose the parts for our P320 to make them our own. That's exactly what I did with the P320C, C standing for Compact.

The range of firearms as we know them today began with the Glock 19 and the SIG P228. The Glock 19 series quickly became the standard bearer for polymer-framed, bolt-action pistols. However, Glock has gotten a little complacent and the P320C may eat its lunch before it knows it.

Like the Glock 19, the P320C offers a pistol with double magazines and is large enough to fill the hand, but remains easy to conceal. Unlike the Glock 19, the P320 has proper metal sights, a Picatinny rail for spec, a more ergonomic grip, and the ability to make it your own. Mine has the Custom Series Slide with the stock mount and the X Series unit with the Legion Series trigger.
The ability to pick and choose your equipment sets the P320C above most guns for its price.
The core of the P320C and P320 series, in general, is the FCU. The fire control division is a firearms division officially known as the P320. This little guy leads the line and gives the shooter the ability to jump between the gun and the frame. I can turn the P320C into a complete P320 with parts that I can easily get online.
This allows for more modularity than any other pistol I know of today. It allowed me to buy my own dream P320C and it can allow you to do the same. The P320C comes standard with metal night vision, two magazines and multiple configurations.

The gun weighs 25.8 inches, measures 7.2 inches long, 1.3 inches wide, 5.3 inches high, and has a 3.9 inch barrel. A nice looking pistol that is easy to conceal, but remains a good fighting pistol. It can carry a full range of light on the Picatinny rail and as you can see is the perfect host for optics.
If you're not a fan of the Glock grip angle, fear not. The P320C features a more American grip angle similar to the 1911. Although this is a personal preference, it gives me better ergonomics. In the back we have a good braid that encourages a high grip to increase control.
Below the trigger, we have a nice undercut to support that superior grip. A pistol that is easy to hold and seems to fit both large and small hands.
The controls are simple. The slide release is a standard SIG. This means that it is easy to reach but also easy to see when you shoot and makes it useless. It is ambidextrous, which is good, admittedly. The magazine release is easily accessible and reversible but not ambidextrous.

In my hands, this is one of the most accurate compact pistols on the market. Once I added a red dot it got even better. The P320C allows me to ring an 8 inch gong at 50 meters with no problem. The Legion trigger provides a flat, crisp trigger that rebounds into a light wall and then breaks smoothly.
Speaking of speed, I turned to the 10-10-10 drill and smoked it without heat. The 10-10-10 drill is ten rounds of the B8 target at ten yards in ten seconds. I did it with all of them, not just black, but 9 rings in seven seconds on my first run. From there I saw that my time was reduced to mere fractions of a second while maintaining excellent accuracy.
The excellent trigger, optics and ergonomics give the P320C the edge in this configuration. However, even the stock P320C can shoot straight. These features help shooters eliminate human error, but if the gun's core is defective, it's unnecessary.
Wow, here's a big problem that will cause the gun to fail quickly. If it doesn't work, the truth is, ergonomics and such are useless. So does the P320C work? Well, at hundreds of rounds below the price, I can happily say, yes, it works.

Besides me, the US military has a lot of torture guns, as do dozens of police officers across the country. I can say that it is reliable.
The SIG P320C provides a more refined pistol. It is user customizable, highly accurate, reliable and is now the choice of the US military in the M18 series. If you want a better Glock 19, the P320C is the way to go.

Each frame is sold separately. Of course, since you can change the frame, you can also change the size of the frame.

It has a 3.6" barrel and measures 6.7" long, 1.3" wide and 4.7" tall. With a weight of 24.9oz, this frame has 12 + 1 press capacity.
It's 5.5" tall, but other than that, it looks like a solid frame. However, being taller, this frame has a 17 + 1 magazine capacity.
Finally, the full size frame has a barrel 4.7" and 8" long, 1.3" wide and 5.5" long. Weighing in at 29.5oz, the magazine capacity of this frame is 17+1.
With this model, Sig Sauer decided to improve some of the features of the Sig Sauer P250, in particular, the trigger.
